Ron:
We wanted to drop you a line and to let you know of our recent experience at Country Coach. We left Southern California on September 11th for Oregon in our ’06 Allure (no itinerary, no reservations) and that night found that the living room slide would not extend/retract. It was flush with the body on the front edge, and extended out about 1-1/2″ at the rear edge. I followed the instructions in the Country Coach manual; but couldn’t determine the problem, and couldn’t correct the situation.
I called the service manager on Monday morning, discussed the problem, and was assured that we could still travel safely. I made a tentative appointment for Tuesday around noon. We arrived during the shop lunch period; but Jim and Technician Jon N. dropped everything and checked out our problem. Jon knew immediately that we had a broken shear bolt on the Power Gear shaft, and examined all of the other moving parts for that slide. He replaced the bolt, got me 2 spares, tested the slide, and was done.
We are really pleased with the service, the friendly and helpful personnel, and the way Jim and Jon jumped on our problem. Thank you for establishing the “new” Country Coach Corp. and giving Country Coach owners a connection to the “source”. Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Jim & Carol Westling
