Palin ‘One Nation’ tour across US in her Country Coach

Palin ‘One Nation’ tour provides boost for Country Coach and conservatives
On Sunday May 29th, Sarah Palin, the first female governor of Alaska, and her SarahPAC team embarked from Washington DC on board a luxury Country Coach Lexa motorhome as part of her whistle-stop “One Nation” tour of America’s heartland. According to Palin’s SarahPAC website the tour is part of her campaign “to educate and energize Americans about our nation’s founding principles.” SarahPAC – a federally registered political action committee – was created in January 2009 to help support candidates and initiatives that promote conservative reform and innovation.

In a move that will placate both Democrats and Republicans Palin chose to travel across the nation in a uniquely American recreational vehicle product – a Country Coach Lexa. The Lexa coach was offered with six floor plans and came with a double or triple slide out configuration (galley, bedroom and living room). The diesel pusher motorhome was produced by Country Coach in both a 42′ and 45′ version.

Palin’s selection of Country Coach is emblematic of America’s indomitable spirit and ability to overcome even the toughest challenges. Junction City, Oregon-based Country Coach filed for Chapter 11 protection in February 2009. The US bankruptcy court subsequently ordered a Chapter 7 liquidation of the company’s assets which were sold at auction on February 4th and 5th, 2010.

However, Country Coach – now under the ownership of
Ron Lee – resumed limited service in January 2011.
The new company controls all of the Intellectual Property of the former Country Coach, Inc. and Country Coach, LLC.

Although current operations are limited to consignment sales, parts manufacture and servicing, one can but hope that the company will return to manufacturing operations in the not too distant future.

Governor Palin’s itinerary has not been released to the media but yesterday her Country Coach Moho called in at the Liberty Bell Center – part of the Independence National Historical Park – on Market Street in Philadelphia, PA.
